Day 1 – NJP/ Bagdogra to Maneybhanjyang

Your journey begins as you reach Maneybhanjyang, the quaint gateway to the Singalila Ridge. The 3.5- hour drive takes you through tea gardens, pine forests, and charming villages. Upon reaching Maneybhanjyang, check into your cozy homestay or guesthouse. In the evening, join a briefing session to discuss the trek route, gear, and safety tips. Get a good night’s rest before the adventure begins!

Day 2 – Maneybhanjyang to Tumling (10000 ft)

Trek Distance: ~12 km Trek Time: 6-7 hours Begin your trek along a charming stone-paved trail that winds through rhododendron forests, mossy paths, and small settlements. You’ll pass through Chitre and Meghma, where ancient monasteries stand guard over the landscape, offering a spiritual pause on the journey. Tumling, your destination for the day, sits right on the Indo-Nepal border and offers sweeping views of the entire Singalila Range. On a clear day, the snow-capped peaks of Kanchanjunga and even a glimpse of Everest await you in the distance. 🏠 Overnight stay in a cozy tea house or lodge at Tumling.

🌟 Day 3: Tumling to Kalapokhari (3180m / 10453 ft)

Trek Distance: ~13 km Trek Time: 7-8 hours Wake up early to catch a magical sunrise over Kanchanjunga. Post-breakfast, begin your trek through the enchanting forests of Singalila National Park. The trail crosses the Indo-Nepal border multiple times, offering fascinating cultural contrasts – Buddhist prayer flags flutter in the wind, and yak herders guide their flocks through misty meadows. Kalapokhari, literally “black pond, ” is a sacred lake surrounded by prayer flags and ancient myths. The village is small and tranquil, and you’llfeel the mystic charm as you settle in for the night.

🌟 Day 4: Kalapokhari to Sandakphu (3636m / 11930 ft)

Trek Distance: ~6 km Trek Time: 4-5 hours Today’s trail is short but steep as you ascend to Sandakphu, the highest point in West Bengal. The rhododendron forests gradually give way to alpine meadows, and with every step, the views become more awe-inspiring. Sandakphu is a vantage point like no other – the only place where you can witness four of the world’s five highest peaks: Everest, Kanchanjunga, Lhotse, and Makalu. At sunset, the mountains blaze gold and crimson, a sight to cherish forever.

🌟Day 5 – Sandakphu to Phalut(3600m/ 11811 ft)

Trek Distance: 21 kms Trek time: 7- 8 hrs Wake up early in the morning forfascinating view of sunrise and glorious Kanchanjunga range. After breakfast proceed towards Phalut,the trail is relatively gradual. This is the besttrekking stretch ofthe Singalila circuitin terms of landscape and view. Phalutis the trisection of Nepal, West Bengal and Sikkim. Accomodations can be camping or govt.trekkers hut with limited beds.

🌟 Day 6- Phalut to Gorkhey (2400m/ 7874 ft)

Trek Distance: 15 kms Trek time: 5- 6 hrs Rise up early in the morning and our guide wil escort you to the view point to capture the grand Himalayas. After brreakfast we descend to Gorkhey. Gorkhey is yet to be discovered in the tourist radar. Its a smal vilage surrounded by pine forest and a small river which is commonly known as Gorkhey river which separates Sikkim and West Bengal.

� Day 7: Gorkhey to Sirikhola (2100m / 6900 ft) Trek ends

Trek Distance: ~14 km Trek Time: 6-7 hours Your final day’s trek is a gentle descent through verdant forests, with the melodic songs of Himalayan birds as your soundtrack. The path to Sirikhola is dotted with wooden bridges, waterfalls, and charming hamlets. Arrive at Sirikhola by 2 pm, where your trek officially concludes. We recommend booking your onward travelfor the next day, as the drive back to NJP/Bagdogra takes around 6 hours.

Trip Detail

A spectacular Himalayan journey starting from the serene forests of Srikhola and climbing gradually toward Phalut and Sandakphu. This reverse route offers better acclimatization, fewer crowds, and some of the best views of Mt. Kanchenjunga, the Sleeping Buddha range, and the Everest family.
