Day 1: NJP / Bagdogra – Yuksom (1,780 m)
• Drive through the Teesta Valley and mountain roads to Yuksom, a historic village in West Sikkim.
• Trek briefing and check of gear and permits.
Drive Duration: 6–7 hours
Stay: Homestay or hotel
Highlights: Sacred Norbugang Chorten, Monastery visit.
Day 2: Yuksom – Sachen (2,200 m)
• Begin trek with a gentle climb through dense subtropical forests of pine, oak, and ferns.
• Cross three suspension bridges over waterfalls and rivers.
Trek Duration: 5–6 hours
Stay: Campsite in forest clearing
Wildlife: Himalayan Langur, barking deer, bird species.
Day 3: Sachen – Tshoka (2,900 m)
• Steep climb through thick rhododendron forests.
• Pass Bakhim and reach Tshoka, a small Tibetan village with wooden huts and a monastery.
Trek Duration: 6 hours
Stay: Campsite or wooden huts
Views: Mount Pandim appears for the first time.
Day 4: Tshoka – Dzongri (3,970 m)
• One of the most scenic days—trek through a ridge lined with rhododendrons and silver firs.
• Reach Dzongri, a high pasture land surrounded by snow-capped peaks.
Trek Duration: 6–7 hours
Stay: Campsite at Dzongri meadow
Altitude Note: Full acclimatization needed.
Day 5: Acclimatization at Dzongri – Dzongri Top (4,200 m)
• Early morning hike to Dzongri Top for panoramic sunrise views over Kanchenjunga, Kabru, Pandim, Rathong.
• Rest of the day for acclimatization and exploration.
Stay: Campsite
Peak Views: 14+ snow peaks from one point.
